After more than a year, I finally made it to the Indian Heritage Centre here. And surprisingly I learnt that my mum is also interested in museums like me! This museum is is very small with just two floors of the permanent exhibits and one floor which is the seasonal exhibit. The top floor consists of how Indians lived in pre independence Singapore and the level below was filled with contributions from prominent Indians across different fields. The seasonal exhibition floor was closed when we were there. The photos below are from the top floor.

The last bit from Little India – I saw some street art with a distinct Indian flavour and knew I had to capture them.

More from my trip to Little India. I saw these installations of elephants in a street off the main Serangoon Road and I was fascinated! I love elephants and am always drawn to these gentle giants. There were many people around, probably removing some chairs as there was an event there earlier, so the pictures may not be the best as I tried to keep them out of the frame as much as possible.

Last weekend, I ended up in Serangoon Road aka Little India to buy some things for my Diwali preparations and the store I wanted to go to was smack bang in the middle of the Diwali market there. Here are some photos I took with my phone of the beautiful market!
