While we were in Bengaluru, we made a half day trip to the Bangalore Bannerghetta National Park and Zoo. I felt the park is worth visiting, especially if you have young children. I especially enjoyed the safari, which if you do nothing else at the park, you must do. Here are some photos from the safari. The highlight of our safari was seeing a tiger stroll down the road while we were parked. That was so beautiful. I did capture that as a short reel, but since I can’t post that here, you have to be content with a photo of the tiger.

Regular readers will know Lord Ganesh is my ishtadev. I collect his statues whenever I see something different or unique and I have been collecting for decades now. My family also will buy statues when they see a different one and over the years, I’ve managed to fill up a cupboard full.

This year, I will showcase some of the statues. Here’s the first batch.

Various folk cultures and traditions assign symbolic meanings to plants and this can be seen through the ages across Asia and Europe. As I was browsing through my photos, I realised I had some photos of flowers which was perfect for the occasion. As we wind down 2022 and start to think about the new year, let the beauty and perfection of the flowers bring joy and happiness to your lives.
