2016 Week 49 Update

December is here and we’re all set to welcome 2017 in just a couple of weeks now!

In a couple of hours all the months of preparation will finally come to fruition as BB undergoes his sacred thread ceremony and becomes ‘twice born’. We’ve all been so busy the past week that this will be a very short update.

S, along with his mum, aunt, sister and nephew came to Mumbai earlier in the week. His family is staying at the function venue since his aunt can’t walk much. My aunts and grandmother came yesterday from other parts of India to help us celebrate. More about the function later….

Happy December folks!

Some time back I took BB & GG to the Singapore National Museum as they have been studying Singapore’s history for their History lessons in school. These below are some pictures I took there….

2916 Week 48 Update

This update comes from Mumbai! I’ve been here for a couple of days and have been shopping a storm for the poonal. As of today, we’re done with the shopping and also have given the sarees to have the falls done and the blouses have been given to the tailor to be stitched.

The past few days have been incredibly busy too, what with packing for the trip and making sure we don’t forget anything and then the last few days in India with shopping.

S, along with his mum, aunt and sister are coming next week. My grandma and two aunts are also coming the day before the function and I am really looking forward to meeting them.

Ok, gotta go now…have a good week everyone!

This one is the island of Singapore, probably around the late 1800s, early 1900s

A print of the natives of Singapore, around the time Raffles arrived
