We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit. This quote from the Greek philosopher and polymath during the Classical period in Ancient Greece is spot on and something we should all aspire to. So let’s all do what we do perfectly daily so that excellence is a habit.
Today, R’s son will get married in India and she is so thrilled about it. It Is what she has been working hard for for the past decade or so and I am so happy for her. She has been in India for the past month getting her home ready for the wedding and will be back sometime in end-April after spending some time with her new daughter-in-law.
After two years, we can now finally take off our masks in public as Singapore starts to slowly move away to live with COVID-19. From next week, we can remove our masks in the outdoors and also meet in groups of 10, up from the current five. The land border between Singapore and Malaysia is also set to open and this will bring loads of cheer to many of us who would just zip across the causeway to shop, to dine and to put petrol in our vehicles. While we are in no real hurry to go across the causeway, we are looking forward to going on a road trip to Malaysia sooner, rather than later.
GG is busy with her internship and so far, she is doing well. She goes to the office and the client’s office some days while on other days, she works from home. BB had yet another bad semester and some days, I wonder who goes on in his head. Hopefully, he finally realises what he needs to do and pulls up his socks in his final year.
That’s all from me this week. Stay safe everyone, we are still not out of the woods yet.
