2018 Week 50 Update

This was a very hectic week for us, so much so that at one point, all we wanted to do was just laze around at home!

Since S was on leave, we decided to head to Johor Bahru in Malaysia for a day trip. We went to a couple of Malls and also checked out the huge IKEA there. We also got summoned for a parking offence and rushed to pay it off before we left the place as we didn’t want any issues the next time we drove in.

Then the next few days was spent in Singapore with some grocery shopping, going to the national library and also having lunches and dinners outside.

S goes back to work tomorrow and we are also counting down to school starting on 2 January.

Have a wonderful Sunday and an awesome week!

2018 Week 49 Weekly Update

Another week has gone by and we are closer to 2019! Nothing really happened this week. The children are still having their holidays and even I am in a lazy mode with no real mood to do anything, except chill and read!

The coming week is going to be quite busy for us with some family time planned and so I should have better updates then.

We also decided not to go on a holiday, even to a neighbouring country as everything was super expensive. We almost booked the tickets and hotel last weekend, but at the last minute, I decided against it as it felt more like going some place just because we had to do it rather than because we wanted to do it!

I am going to stop this update here because, there’s really nothing much to say this week. Have a wonderful week folks!

2018 Week 48 Update

This week was a usual week with nothing really happening. But it’s December now and the countdown to 2019 has begun. I should start thinking seriously about what I want to achieve in 2019 and start planning for it.

BB and GG have been hopefully utilising their holidays productively, they do study for a while each day before doing other things.

We are still waffling over whether or not we should go on a short break to a neighbouring country. S has been on and off on leave this week and will probably do the same next week too.

This week also promises to be something similiar. But hope you guys have a wonderful week!

2018 Week 47 Ipdate

Nothing really to update with regard to the children. Holidays are ongoing and I am on BB’s case to catch up on his sec 3 work before school starts and he gets overwhelmed again.

Yesterday, I volunteered in BB’s school to usher potential parents and children to choose this school as one of their options after the PSLE results which was declared earlier in the week. It’s always fun doing this and I enjoy speaking to potential parents and sharing my experiences in the school. BBs school, though a neighbourhood school, has a distinctive programme which is very tempting to some students (BB included) who make it their first choice of school.

I also had a fairly lazy week with not much happening. I’ve decided to focus on my freelance work more once the new year starts and have started to do research in that direction.

S is taking leave some days next week and I want us to do some activities as a family, especially since the children don’t get to spend much time with him, given his busy schedule. So I should start planning those too.

2018 is almost over and the new year will be here in the blink of an eye! What are your plans for the new year?

Have a wonderful Sunday and an awesome week!

2018 Week 46 Update

Another week has gone by and the children are almost in the middle of their school holidays.

Last Friday, GG’s school organised a two hour long concert of their school choir plus two other invited schools. It was lovely programme, not because GG was the opening emcee of her choir, but because all the schools sang quite well. Other than the open house in her school next week, this activity will be the last one for her for the school calendar year.

BB is his usual self, playing games on his laptop whenever he can and getting scolded by me! He also started shaving, something I didn’t think I’d see so soon! My baby has become a man!

In my news, some career expectations I had didn’t come through and I took this to be a sign from the universe that perhaps I should focus more on my freelance business which is what I will do now. I will spend the next month focusing on my family and the children and when the new year rolls around and people start coming back to work, I will start contacting potential clients.

Have a wonderful Sunday and an awesome week.
