2019 Week 27 Update

There’s literally nothing I did this week, that I can write here. Somehow the week just flew by and I am here another new week to get productive!

I went for my eye review and the good news is that my infection has completely cleared up, so that’s a huge relief. I have to go for another review in about three months for my dry eye syndrome which is a routine check-up. I do have to do a few tests that I have to do that day, so it’s going to be a long day that day.

Later in the week, I have to accompany S to an awards ceremony where he is getting an award. I am stoked to be going there and super proud of him since he is the only person from his organisation getting the award that day.

I still have many items from my To-Do list from last week which means my list this week is a mile long! Add to the chaperone duties I have, my week is packed. Wish me luck as I clear it all up.

Have a wonderful week!

2019 Secondary 4 Week 27

This week I was glued to the internet, trying to see which schools have started sending out their EAE interview and/or aptitude test emails. We were waiting for three each for both GG & BB.

As it stands today, both have gotten two each and are waiting for one more to come in. They are for both interview and aptitude tests. Now we are hoping and praying that they clear the tests and impress the interviewers so that they get a confirmed conditional offer in August.

Of course, getting an offer now does not mean that they can slack at their O levels. Every course has its minimum entry requirements and if they don’t meet that after the results are declared, their conditional offer will be revoked and they join the pool of all those who didn’t get in though the EAE or DSA route.

That was our week, next week looks to be another hectic day with both of them being called for either interviews or an aptitude test, so here’s hoping for the best possible outcome!

2019 Week 27 Update

Life is meandering on with nothing really happening. The most exciting thing that happened was GG’s news that she had been called for an audition to a JC for DSA.

I have been quite productive this week, managing to hit all the items off my to-do list by the end of the week, which is quite rare for me. Hopefully, this is something I can do on a regular basis.

I had a bit of a low time in June when I was super unproductive and also didn’t really take care of my diet and exercise, but July has become a restart for me and this time I am more focussed on eating clean and walking at least 12-15k steps during the weekday and 10k steps over the weekend.

I am also at peace internally. I have decided to give my freelance business more thought and am becoming extremely picky when it comes to applying for jobs and positions. If it is meant to happen, it will happen, is my new mantra.

That’s all for this week, I have my eye review later today and I am hoping the doctor gives me the all clear this time around. I don’t want to go back for another review for atleast 3-4 months.

Have a wonderful week folks!

2019 Secondary 4 Week 27 Update

Week one of the new term and things are really hotting up in schools. We have gotten the dates and in BB’s case, the timetable for their prelim exams. They will also have their O level English Oral exam sometime in August.

GG had applied to one of the junior colleges for Direct School Admission through her CCA which is Choir, and got called for an audition next week. She was super excited when she got the message even though this was something she was not particularly interested in. So lets see how this goes.

It’s going to be a hectic 4.5 months until mid-November when the O level exams finish. Then, if their EAE results have been declared by then, its time to party until the results are declared in mid-January.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

2019 Week 26 Update

We now officially halfway down the year! There are times I feel the first half of 2019 has zoomed by while at other times, I can’t wait for the year to end.

School starts today and hopefully, so shall my productivity. I find myself quite unproductive when the children are at home and now need to recalibrate my thinking since they finish school this year.

I have quite a few things on my to-do list this week and hope to accomplish all of them. I am also planning our year end holiday and am really excited. I love planning for holidays and this time is no different.

Ok, gotta go and start work on that to-do list now, so have a wonderful week folks!
