Merry Christmas!
Before flying off to Mumbai, I had to pick up GG from a hotel in Orchard Road from her prom. So I took the opportunity to click some photos of the Orchard Road Christmas lights.

Gone Girl – Gillian Flynn

On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favours with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy’s diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behaviour. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?

If you are wondering how it became week 51 after week 52 last week, I went back and checked and I have made a mistake somewhere. Instead of going back a whole year to see where I made a mistake, I just changed this week’s title to reflect the current week!
We’re back in Mumbai and Bangalore has taken a heavy toll on us. Pretty much everyone is sick at home. I am nursing a bad cough (how bad? Think coughing every 30 seconds while trying to sleep). Finally gave in and saw a doctor twice this week. The first round of medicines didn’t do much but the second round is more effective, though I am feeling like a zombie!
S is back in Singapore and this is also our last week of holiday. Next week this time, we will be home and back to the routine life.
I am going to cram as much as I can this week, so see you next week. Enjoy the countdown to the new decade.
